About Catverse, Inc.

In 2022, the visionary founder, Javier G. Sanchez, fresh off the success of his previous app startup, "MeowTalk" (with over 20 million downloads), embarked on a new adventure. Catverse, Inc. was born out of Sanchez's love for feline companions and his desire to merge technology with the purr-fect pet-human connection. This small yet passionate team of 10 individuals is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of pet care and interaction.

Sanchez worked in the machine learning platform team at Amazon Alexa. “And I got to see how the sausage was made, how they train their models and work with all the data science platforms. So I was fresh off the heels of that and I was thinking, ‘Well, we could do something similar with cats and it could be an app.'  I consulted with a data scientist Stavros Ntalampiras after discovering his research paper, called 'Automatic Classification of Cat Vocalizations Emitted in Different Contexts.'  Together, with a great development team, we built the first cat translator app, MeowTalk.", Sanchez recalls.
